Jerry Beck over at Cartoon Brew revealed a video showcasing Cartoon Network's initial pitch to advertisers and cable operators, which can be found here: [link]
Instead of the familiar checkerboard logo we're all familiar with, a circular logo was used featuring the characters of the still-developing channel. What I have here is something I've started at my site's host, Toon Zone, showcasing the circle motif, modernized using the black and white color scheme (though I've used color for the action-oriented programs) and typeface. The best of all worlds! This is something different and kind of fun. Top Row (L-R): Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, Yogi Bear, Popeye, Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone Middle Row (L-R): Beast Boy, Raven, Yoda, Doc Saturday, the Toonami crest Bottom Row (L-R): Dexter, Johnny Bravo, Dee-Dee, Mayor and Miss Sara Bellum, a stylized Cartoon Network circular logo |

For any who may feel the need to dispute my claim, consider this: the Cartoon Network currently hosts many live-action shows, along with ridiculously horrible animation on their newer cartoons like Flapjack and Chowder. On top of all that, they have ruined MARVEL COMICS CHARACTERS with their Superhero Squad Show. All good shows have been moved to Boomerang, so if your cable/satellite provider doesn't host it, you can't watch Dexter, Johnny Bravo, Teen Titans, Samurai Jack; any of the good CN cartoons.
Even with less quantity, about half of Nickelodeon's cartoons are of a better quality.
